Control Racing and Obsessive Thoughts

There are times when our minds are filled with racing or obsessive thoughts, both of which make us anxious and fearful. These thoughts are disruptive and tend to wear us down.
Here are techniques to help you:
Stop at Stop Signs Technique
Close your eyes and imagine a red and white STOP sign right in front of you. Now think of the danger of going through a STOP sign. The next time the racing thoughts start, visualize the STOP sign right in front of you. Every time you do this, you are increasing your thought control and training your brain to interrupt the racing thought pattern. You can draw a stop sign on the palm of your hand and when the racing thoughts start going, stop them by looking at your palm.
